Are you sure that you’ve edited the Freelancer.ini of your server?
No software firewall?

I tried to have my server connect to this gun.fllistserver.com server but it is not working.

I’m running Windows 2003 Server. I have port 2300 & 2302 forwarded for both UDP & TCP protocalls. I AM able to connect to the server since I have added the server manually and also use the client -s command.

My problem is that the server reports a failed to make connection to server… exactly like the above user.

Can you offer any suggestions?

hi there

yesterday i wanted to play FL online again ( getting sick of other games ).

I did you you said above i have chanced:
[ListServer]
;;;hostname = localhost ;Your local machine

hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ;GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)

port = 2300

into the following:

;hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ;GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)
hostname = gun.fllistserver.com

port = 2300

but seems liket wont work any sugesstions ?

The problems seems to be somewhere else.

The player count on your server isn’t calculated by the Listserver, it’s done by your FLServer.

now freelancer is saying my server is full when the server says no one is on… help!!!!!!!!!!111

Does this work with LAN play as well? I’m trying to create my own local server for play on my network but get the same problem as above:

Starting logic thread…
Server running, ready for log in.
Connecting to list server…
Established connection to list server…
Sending game information to list server…
Lost connection to list server…

I have modified freelancer.ini as instructed above.
